We have a Kiwi #gameboycolor handheld system with no sound. We replaced the speaker and headphones jack, still no sound! Eventually we replaced all 3 syrface mount capacitors. The C38, in particular can be an issue when you do not have sound coming from your #gbc Enjoy!
