Star Fox Adventures was released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002 and although it was a bit of a curveball to fans of the original Star Fox games, it ended up getting positive reviews. Not a surprise that fans were upset since during its early stages this game was supposed to be a N64 title called Dinosaur Planet until Miyamoto (creator of Mario, Star Fox, The Legend of Zelda) decided to turn it into a Star Fox game because of how similar Saber, the original main character, looked to Fox McCloud. Not to mention the fact that it would sell more copies under the Star Fox brand due to the series' popularity.
