Garou (Fatal Fury): Mark of the Wolves on the Sega Dreamcast. We take the import version for a spin.
Garou (Fatal Fury): Mark of the Wolves on the Sega Dreamcast. Our fighting competition continues. This time with the Japanese version of the Dreamcast port of the latest (but hopefully not last) edition to the Fatal Fury franchise from SNK. Known as Garou: Mark of the wolves in Japan and Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves in North America, this game serves as a sort of counterpoint to Capcom's Street Fighter III. It was released for the Dreamcast in late 2001, months after the system had been discontinued. It's a great fighter because it's easy to have fun with, but also has a lot of depth to master. None of that mastery is on display here, as A-Bomb and I fumble our way through it with no practice or research. In typical form, things don't look good for me, but I manage to mount an improbable come from behind rally and give my best fighting performance to date. A-Bomb was in a bit of disbelief. Also, I realized I could put a running score counter under our video frame, so there could be an objective tally of the score. As opposed to someone's subjective memory of how many matches he won. Cough, A-Bomb. Finally, Terry Bogard is not to be trifled with. As A-Bomb says, his Cheap-Eye went straight to Terry. I can't argue with that logic.
