I used to play this years and years ago as well as another seperate mod called Zombie Master, which sadly nobody seems to play anymore.
Over the last decade or so it seems a lot more people are playing Gmod Zombie Survival and that there are many more servers with interesting variations on the game.
The majority of players spawn as humans and a few players spawn as zombies, it's a percentage based on the total number of players currently on the server.
Humans must use guns and melee weapons to kill the zombies, while building barricades to defend themselves.
Meanwhile, Zombies must kill the humans, when all humans are killed the zombies win, if at least one human survives the last wave the humans win.
When a Zombie eats a human that human will now spawn as a zombie, so as the game progresses, human numbers will lower and zombie numbers will get higher.
The game has several waves, after each wave the zombies unlock more classes, such as fast zombies and exploding zombies.
Zombies also get a few boss zombies at the start of a wave to help them break through tough barricades.
The game mode is very fun however when playing on a server with a high player count, rubber-banding and other server issues are often encountered.
