Gate Reactor - DOOM 2 Map Testing Gameplay
1This map transitions from the previous tech based and into some hell themes. I'm still working out some easier and harder difficulty levels and tweaking things here and there. My thinking behind this set of maps is that the various liquids (mostly green acid and lava) are used by Hell's forces to power the continued creation of otherworldly entities, further corrupting the experiments conducted by the UAC. I've used some basic sound info to add ambient sounds from the DOOM 2 iWAD, (DSBOSCUB, DSFLAME) and added some of my own custom sounds that loop as .ogg files. Bringing the sample rate down to 22050 Hz helps them fit better with the original game audio. I've done this as well for the music, which I made more like an ambient track similar to Doom 64's.
