Gato Roboto is the latest ultra-indie title that Devolver Digital has discovered and taken on... and of course it's shaping up to be a brilliant, distinctive little nostalgic rush.
In this video I look at the obvious Metroid influences... but also where some of the game's other ideas might have come with. You'll also get a look at the (adorable) first boss, and a sense of the brilliant way that aesthetics, sound, and classic Metroidvania gameplay combine to produce something that's quite hard to put down...
Even for people who aren't usually fans of the genre.
