GBCER IX - Why is the Steam Version of Final Fantasy XIII-2 A DUMPSTER FIRE?
Fun fact, if you attempt to play the Steam version of Final Fantasy XIII-2 you will most likely be greeted with a myriad of technical flaws. I certainly was when attempting to play the game for a community video game endurance run.
To sum up, the game has an issue where once it outputs over 2 GBs of RAM, it seizes up and crashes. I suspect this is due to the game having some sort of console-based RAM saving protocol that did not cause the 360 or PS3 to crash, but it makes absolutely no sense to include on the PC version, especially considering the game ALLOWS you to set it at resolutions far above those on either console.
To add insult to injury, there's apparently a patch for the game that Steam for whatever reason does not automatically update into the actual game.
The result is this video in which I frantically try to figue out how to make a game I paid actual money to play work as it was advertised. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/zombiepie
