Small glitch exhibition: 2:13:15
On December 18th, 2023, I did a speed run of Killer7 on The Bargain Bin, a show on the GDQ Hotfix hosted by Midnight Vesper showcasing games under $20. This run went really well; no major mistakes, a very solid sub-2:08 time, and a fun glitch exhibition at the end. Due to how involved the speed run is, I couldn't quite delve into as much of the plot and background as I could with my NMH1 and FSR Hotfix runs, but there was still naturally a lot to talk about, and I felt like my commentary overall was particularly spot-on.
The glitch exhibition showed off some oddities in the Encounter 1 Plaza as well as pause glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ar8MQ7SHjs). To my slight embarrassment (and eventual amusement), I somehow neglected to *say the inputs* for pause glitch outloud; just pause quickly upon entering the plaza and press A to move forward immediately afterward. It's a funky little area that's fun to mess around in.
Like my previous Hotfix runs, I'd like to thank GamesDoneQuick as well as Midnight Vesper for another opportunity to showcase yet another Suda 51 game to such a large audience (especially for a game as significant as Killer7). I'd also like to thank the Suda 51 Speed Run community and anybody who keeps supporting my GHM shenanigans.
