Gears of War 5 drops in September 2019 and the latest news from the studio has very little to do with the actual game, but instead, focuses on smoking cigarettes and tobacco use. They are removing the ability to see anyone smoke cigarettes during the game because the head of The Coalition, studio begins creating Gears of War 5 with Microsoft, had to deal with his father passing away from a heart attack.
While I feel like the intentions are in the right place, ultimately, this is a scary direction and step to see the video game industry take.
