Before he became the successful singer and frontman of Barb Rose and moved to Stockholm in the early 70s, Benny was born and raised on Himfjäll, more specifically in Österhällan, a village nested between mountain and sea, just opposite the small island of Djupskäret. But he and his father, Eduardo, had fallen out in recent years, leading to Benny's visits being further and further apart.

Two months before the Cataclysm, Benny started writing a letter to his father, and kept carrying it around with him, but never finished nor sent it before it was too late. Wrought with guilt and worry, he has been eager to cross the enemy lines to go back to where he grew up, and find his father at last.
