Well, there was so much talk about this device - as if it were something more magical than "just an external drive enclosure" - so I put out the $50 and picked one up myself.

We'll unbox it, look at the inside, do power passthrough tests, speed tests and more - and for good measure ...? We'll see how it stands up to my reigning champion device of this nature - the Qwiizlab external drive enclosure.
