Geometry Dash - The Tower XXII by o1iv3 (Extreme Demon)
3since i wanna be the guy got demoted this is my only platformer extreme
i wasn't initially planning on going for this level in this session (only did 1 practice run, wasn't very familiar with any of the parts outside of the route) but i accidentally was able to pass the diagonal jump right before the 2nd checkpoint in less than 15 minutes which activated the sunk cost fallacy in me lol
atrocious level to play. most of the jumps are not too bad or annoying in each individual checkpoint section but there's randomly impossible jumps usually at the end of the section that stop you from moving forward.
for the first checkpoint, that jump is the diagonal which i got on my 2nd try quite luckily.
for the second checkpoint, that "jump" is the squeeze between the two sets of double spikes that is not only ridiculously difficult but also exhausting to get back to due to the nature of the infinite jump section.
the last checkpoint is the worst offender with the last small spike jump placed as the the fourth to last jump in the level. you have to do a similarly precise but differently aligned jump earlier in the checkpoint which made this jump incredibly frustrating to die to repeatedly. i didn't bother counting but i know for sure i died to this specific jump upwards of 15 times, likely more (and i died twice after getting it to one of the easier jumps after!)
altogether, i very much do not recommend this. i wanna be the guy is significantly more enjoyable as although iwbtg is less balanced than this from a checkpoint-to-checkpoint perspective than this, the drastic difficulty spikes within each checkpoint in this level make it so much more frustrating. i would only consider playing this if it ends up being the easiest platformer extreme in the future once extreme difficulties are fully figured out, and/or if you are a precision platformer god in which case the chokepoints will not matter and it won't take that long. for what its worth (not much) i think this should stay extreme demon difficulty
