18Most players think you need a second console or alt account to get into bot lobbies. But what if I told you there's a way to do it solo — no Switch, no mobile, just your main account?
Let me break it down.
After doing a bunch of testing, I figured out that matchmaking is based on your performance history. If you’re losing games, getting no eliminations, or not placing high — Fortnite drops your hidden skill rating and starts putting you in easier lobbies.
So, here’s how to force a bot lobby on your main account:
Play 3-5 matches and do NOTHING — land, hide, and die immediately.
Don’t shoot. Don’t build. Don’t survive.
Repeat this for a few matches until Fortnite drops your match difficulty.
Once you've tanked your MMR (matchmaking rating), queue up again — and you’ll notice the difference immediately. Players can’t build, they miss shots, and you start farming XP like crazy.
To make the most of this:
Turn on Party Assist for easy quest XP
Use No Build mode to avoid sweaty edits
Farm milestone goals during the match
This strategy works best if you’re on a fresh season or starting a new Battle Pass. It’s especially useful when you're falling behind or just want stress-free wins.
