In Rotwood, you can use the resources gathered from previous runs to upgrade your armor, weapons, and abilities, making each adventure more rewarding and impactful. The gameplay loop follows a familiar roguelike structure: you start in a single area, defeat enemies, and earn rewards such as in-game currency, power-ups, or materials. Clearing each area unlocks new challenges, with tougher enemies, shops, random encounters, and boss fights.
To conquer an area, you'll need to defeat both a miniboss and a main boss—no easy feat, especially since you only have one potion to rely on per run, unless you’re lucky enough to find the potion shopkeeper.
