The story begins with a comic-style cinematic introducing your character: tortured, beaten to the brink of death, and trapped in a nightmarish labyrinth. Your only goal? To escape the hellish maze. You start in a grim cell surrounded by corpses—some chained, others lifeless on the floor—with no weapons, just your fists.
As you progress, you'll find your first weapon, a sword called Gladio, which kicks off the hack-and-slash action. From there, the carnage intensifies as you discover grenades and a handgun, giving you the option to fight from both close and long range. The combat is fluid, combining fast dashes, precise shooting, and brutal slashing.
Enemies in Devilated come in all shapes and sizes, each with unique designs, abilities, and attack patterns. Some charge at you relentlessly, while others pick you off from a distance, keeping you on your toes. The level design is diverse and visually striking, drawing heavy inspiration from classic shooters like Serious Sam. As you progress, the environments shift, keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging.
