Excavated from the depths of the classics, this franchise once again gives us a great introduction to 'Getsu Fuuma Den'
Looking at the original game from 1987, I would have had no idea then that what we get to see in 'GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon' was the vision of the game's development team since 35 years ago!
Despite a link in the story to the game's predecessor, we have to admit that there is an amazing evolving result that provides breathtaking gameplay experiences!
GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is interesting for several reasons, but first I would like to refer to the beautiful Ukiyo art of the Japanese underworld, a fascinating art style to observe that graces the sessions through, for example, animated backgrounds, as well as the rest of the environments.
Although the gameplay can easily become fast paced, I also advise you to stop regularly to appreciate this visual part,
but not only the graphic elements keep you glued to the screen, also the audio part.
The soundtrack, which is available along with the 1987 classic when you buy the deluxe package, consists of 15 ear-hypnotic tracks that absolutely provide 'that' appropriate atmosphere.
In this roguelite you will die more often than you hope, there is no automatic or other smoother healing process but instead you have to make do with a limited supply of potions, but don't worry, after a few sessions you will already learn how to use these potions must ratify,
there are also different weapons and weapon genres, from swords, spears, to even a combat-ready umbrella, each with their own improvements, you are never obliged to use the same weapons over and over, you will often get opportunities to switch weapons and such use the perfect weapon that suits you best.
You will also be able to return to the beginning without dying so that you can store your goods, the advantage is that if you die later than you can start with good weapons or possibly extra potions, the disadvantage is that you I have to give up these items first and then start over in the world again, or whether the choice to return to the beginning is really that beneficial I have a little doubt about that.
It's also possible to get items after you die through certain upgrades, but you don't get them that quickly either.
You will have to defeat a number of bosses throughout Yomi's world, but the world is so much bigger than the routes you could take directly to the locations to reach these bosses,
the best way to fight these bosses is to observe the attacks first and adjust your attacks accordingly, believe me, this will be necessary as it can take some time to get back to the point where you last died, so commit the fights with these bosses with patience.
