Welcome to Fossil Fuel! Fossil Fuel is a game that I first noticed back in either 2019 or 2018, when I saw someone playing it here on YouTube before it was publicly released (Alpha and Betas included), and I took a lot of interest in it from that point on, and also added it to my steam wishlist. I finally bought it on Christmas Eve 2022, and now I've officially played it for the first time too.
This is a game in which attempts to tell a lore-based story, of a world fallen apart, and in it, science experiments lead to a lab based underground in Alaska decided to resurrect Dinosaurs from their fossils, with the main 'saur being Utahraptors. In this, you are the newest member of the team, fresh in the lab on your very first day as the new Warden. A catastrophic failure transpires under very suspicious circumstances and you must attempt to survive the raptors and turn on the power, with the goal of eventually getting a handle on the entire situation, and attempting to recover back to some semblance of stability... will you be able to uncover the secrets and the truth of what the hell is going here? Or will you become another lunchtime victim of the ravenous raptors?
I definitely enjoyed this a fair amount, however, I also had some gripes too (some in the video, others not to keep it a bit more choppy/speedy). But I will likely be playing this game again relatively soon. Next one is likely going to be shorter, and more compilation/moments style instead.
