SEGMENT 2: NEW TOONLAND
By far the shortest segment of the set. A handful of the reasons are due to some well optimised runs here, though there is a letdown later on.
Twin Towers (00:24): By far my best attempt at this stage. Quite a bit of time lost from the hits if anything, but I believe this to be a well optimised route - including my best run at the anvil gauntlet at the end!
Pow! (02:58): I discovered this shortcut by accident when rendering the original version of this take. This to me is an amazing timeskip that should be used wisely - make sure NOT TO FORGET THE WORLD REMOTE! The only catch is all the times I spent trying to get back IN after the wall broke down.
Rock It (05:02): Quite a few mistakes here. One thing that should be done is making sure that part of Gex's opening animation is played NOT when riding a rocket - that cost me a 10 second mistake on the first blue one. About 5 seconds were lost with the last blue rocket - I should've waited for the next one instead of trying to get onto the first one I saw. And another 5 seconds were lost with some sloppiness with the vertical red rockets afterwards.
The Flatulator (08:37): Aside from missing an anvil on the first hit, I think this is another good run. I think it could be possible to react faster with the first anvils of each hit and still get them to land on him though.
