After a few runs of previous levels offline I had built a nice stack of cash, so I decided to go on a bit of spending spree. My initial goal is to make sure everybody has some type of item available in each slot, then to optimize them over time.
The mission itself was pretty interesting, but not as terrifying as the failure state initially implied. Shido's were spread all across the map surrounded by enemies... and none of them were allowed to die. The good news is, this game is NOT fantasy XCOM, so the monsters were much more interested in attacking me instead of the shidos.
The level itself wasn't a huge challenge. A big part of that was the lack of time pressure allowing me to methodically bring my enemies down. The second part was the fact that after a few runs on old levels, I think I am slightly over-leveled at this point. While I am doing my best to not grind to make myself OP, but I feel weird simply ending levels while I test new mechanics instead of seeing them through until the end.
However, overall the level was a satisfying challenge, and the game continues to hold my interest!
