A trailer for the home video release of the notorious 1987 box office bomb, Ghost Fever, a haunted house comedy starring Sherman Hemsley (The Jeffersons). Hemsley funded the production of the film, which sat on the shelf for more than two years before being unceremoniously dumped in a handful of theaters, and lost over $3M. It is partially due to the failure of Ghost Fever that Hemsley declared bankruptcy in 1999. The film was directed by Lee Madden (Hells Angels 69), but when production spiraled out of control, Madden removed his name from the final film and opted to use the infamous Alan Smithee pseudonym, which from the late 1960s to the late 1990s, was used by directors who were ashamed of their work.
