As they rest near Omi Lake, Yuriko's reminiscences take her back to a cherished memory involving Jin's mother. However, Jin, ever cautious, urges them to continue onward, mindful of the dangers that may lie ahead.
Finally arriving at the next cemetery, Jin carefully gathers three lilies, which Yuriko believes are the plants they seek. In a tender moment, Yuriko confesses her reluctance to part ways with Jin and implores him to accompany her to Shimura Cemetery, known for its breathtaking view of a waterfall. Amidst the joy of their shared connection, Yuriko inadvertently addresses Jin as "Kazumasa," quickly rectifying her mistake by praising his graceful riding skills inherited from his father, whom Kazumasa had once taught.
Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they stumble upon yet another Mongol encampment. Seizing the opportunity, Yuriko decides to craft a new poison for Jin's blowgun: Hallucination Darts. These darts induce madness, causing the enemies to turn on each other in a frenzied state, akin to wild beasts. Jin observes the disorienting effects of the darts and skillfully eliminates the remaining Mongol forces.
Undeterred by the constant challenges they face, Jin and Yuriko continue their ride towards Shimura Cemetery. However, Yuriko's mind occasionally drifts into the belief that she is riding alongside Jin's father, Kazumasa, showcasing the bittersweet nature of her memories. Upon reaching Shimura Cemetery, they are relieved to find the serene burial grounds untouched by the ravages of war. They sit down together, finding solace in the peaceful surroundings, and compose a Haiku that reflects on the ephemeral nature of life.
