I can't believe it's been nearly a year since AbstractDark came back to creating with Time Warp. Time's going way too fast. It's nice to see that he didn't just come back to make 1 level and dip again. Ghostly Grove is pretty different in style, though, being an art level. It's cool to see that from an oldschool art creator like AbstractDark. Nowadays, most art levels have every detail custom-made, whether it's the background, block designs, or decorations. Back in the day, that was pretty much impossible without exceeding the object limit a lot, and there were also a lot less tools to be able to do that (fewer small objects, limited scaling, etc.). You can tell that AbstractDark is an oldschool art creator from how much he incorporates default objects into his designs, such as the amount of the rock blocks used in the structures.

This level does make me a bit nostalgic, and that's of course because of the aforementioned visual choices, but also because it's very reminiscent of an AbstractDark level I remember very well. Its name was Emerald Hill Zone, and like the name implies, was a Sonic recreation, while this is for Donkey Kong. That level came out nearly 5.5 years ago, but it's still a pretty good art level in my opinion, even though it was made in middle of 2.0. They have similar design choices and gameplay, so I'd recommend checking out the other one too if this is to your liking and you haven't seen it. This received an Epic rating, and while I may be swayed a bit by nostalgia to like this, I think it deserved that. My only complaint would be that the visuals get a bit repetitive, especially considering the length they repeat over. I'm not familiar with the original game, so I can't say if there's more visuals AbstractDark could have remade here to keep it fresh. If you do, please let me know in the comment section, as well as how good of a remake this is.

- COIN RATING -
Gold. 3/4. AbstractDark clearly put a lot of effort into the coins, and that's reflected in how much effort they require to get. The level is 7 stars, but getting the coin offers a noticeably bigger challenge. They aren't too obvious either, while also offering something original here and there, making for a Gold rating overall. I'm not sure exactly which coin is 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but it doesn't really matter as each one is given at the end.
• 1st coin: Gold. For the first coin, you have to collect 100 bananas throughout the whole level. It's pretty simple. However, getting 100 is harder than it may sound and look in this video. I barely got exactly 100, and a lot of the bananas I got have difficult timings. For coins that require collectibles, it's naturally better to have a custom design to make it more interesting, and this has just that. The bananas are also animated pretty well to look like they're rotating. Concept-wise, getting a bunch of collectibles to get a coin isn't original, but AbstractDark handled collectibles as well as you can, which is good for a Gold rating.
• 2nd coin: Gold. This coin requires you to get 4 collectibles throughout the level. They're found at 0:15, 1:01, 1:24, and 1:41, and each of them are letters spelling out "KONG" once collected. Once again, having a custom design for collectibles is good, and these are also quite difficult to get. They are pretty obvious, but figuring out how to get the 2nd and 3rd ones, takes some practice.
• 3rd coin: Viprin Certified. The 3rd coin has the little extra originality that the 1st and 2nd lacked. At 2:03, you reach the last jump of the level, which is onto a small trampoline. You can get either 1 banana, 3 bananas, or the last coin depending on how you time your jump. I haven't seen this done before, and it's a pretty cool concept. Getting the timing right takes some practice as the coin is the hardest one to get.
