Gigaleak! What Nintendo's Huge Breach Could Mean for Gaming (VL272)
221Nintendo certainly keeps a clean digital house, as apparent hackers discovered and revealed to the world in this past weekend's "gigaleak".
But while seeing early stage prototypes (and source code!) for Super Mario, Yoshi's Island, Pokemon, Star Fox, Zelda, and more can be cool for industry fans and preservationists alike, the leak itself raises questions about law, IP theft, copyright infringement, and the state of gaming that are well worth a deeper dive.
