41So...Gina Carano has been officially fired from The Mandalorian and any future Star Wars projects. Major trades are reporting it, and a spokesperson from Lucasfilm has put out an official statement.
I have a LOT of thoughts on this one. This is an EGREGIOUS insult to us true fans of Star Wars. I've played very nice with them while others online have called Lucasfilm staff out for how they treat us as fans. That will NO LONGER HAPPEN.
I'm joining the fight. I'm done paying hundreds of dollars to a company that doesn't want me to enjoy the Star Wars that George Lucas established and that they ACQUIRED...while I keep my mouth shut on how I feel and try to play nice. No More. Us true fans of Star Wars and the Mandalorian and Cara Dune...we're not going anywhere. We've always had Gina's back, and we're not leaving.
Lucasfilm has not learned from anything that's been happening the past few years and the rampant assault by Lucasfilm staff -- who of course embolden the Twitter mobsters -- on the fans who have put them into the positions they are in. They exposed the hypocrisy with this one. You're welcome in Star Wars, so long as you preach and believe what they say. If you dare step into the world of wrongthing, you will be cancelled...just like Gina Carano.
And it's not just Lucasfilm that needs to get this...Disney has done NOTHING to get these people in line and stop what's been going on this whole time. As a result, they are culpable and responsible.
You want to make your voice heard? CANCEL YOUR DISNEY PLUS SUBSCRIPTION! They can chase you down for your voice, but they can't steal your money. You want to show Disney how upset you are with this firing? You want to change things? Block them from your wallet.
I will be putting out an updated video in the next few days digging deeper into this...digging deeper into Lucasfilm and Disney and how bad this decision will prove to be. It's gonna be a big one. I have plenty of receipts to share. So keep a lookout for when that drops.
And it's not stopping there. The only way we keep this in focus is by not going away. Don't stop mentioning this story. I sure won't be. Just wait. You'll be hearing a lot from me in the future on Lucasfilm and Disney and their pitiful cowardice to the twitter mob. Just wait and see...
