"No Upgrade Run+" means I'm not allowed to obtain any runic attack gems, pommels, runic summons, armor pieces, enchantments, talismans, skills or special items, nor to use Spartan Rage, XP, Hacksilver, Resources or the Death's Vow Armor Set (Digital Deluxe Edition exclusive).

However, I'm allowed to use anything I obtain as part of the Journey, including:
-1 Leviathan Axe upgrade (Level 2).
-4 skills (Freezing Throw, Fury Strike, Raging Smash and Spear of Chaos).
-1 light runic attack gem (Hel's Touch, Level 1).
-6 special items (4 Marks of the Dwarves, 1 Dragon Tooth and Thamur's Chisel).
-Spartan Rage, 4 times only (3 times when the Journey guarantees a full Rage Bar and 1 time in an otherwise impossible fight during Part 7, "The Magic Chisel").
