Back to the over 1500 GameCubes I have had. I must have saved 500 or more front ports. Just about everyone gets dried up inside that not working port. A quick lube and push in/out rub of the inside top with controller plug fixes most. Yes. I take a bit of spit on the plug than insert to repair. I am doing this as I fix these. These are all fixed quickly. A shot of WD40 is also great. My way does the trick. I might have 20 left of ports I could not fix or ribbon damage out of ALL the cubes I have had.
