This video includes playthroughs of the first levels of Sonic 1, 2 and 3.
They are actual Genesis ROMS, but the emulator uses a special core (Alistair's Magic Box) that can introduce errors in the level code (and visual glitches).

The settings I ran Sonic the Hedgehog in created a random error in the level code and a visual glitch for every ring collected. (visual glitches disappear over time but the level glitches remain).

Sonic 2 and 3 were recorded with slightly different settings. Still had a random error in the level code for every ring collected. But visual glitches appear every second and are removed by collecting rings.
