Making scales with hexagon pattern from a cheap silicone trivet. Endless color and effects combinations! Also very cheap, but time consuming.
Only downside I can see is the scales being thin, so to use only for small handles or stacked with other materials or multiple liners.
Glow in the dark stuff looks good in complete darkenss but plain in daylight. Perhaps I should have used more and fill up the voids to make it look more white in daylight.
