60🚨 SNEAK PEAK: GM Mode - Your Court, Your Rules, Your Team
What is GM Mode? The long-term vision:
Start your General Manager (GM) journey from humble beginnings by unlocking your own private court, nestled away in a city alley.
Host games in your private court to unlock court upgrades. Leveling-up your court lets you eventually build an Arena, launch your own League team, and even host competitive League games.
GM Mode will be the foundation for a lot in 2022+, including ranked games, Leagues, and Teams. It is one of our two upcoming story modes, the 2nd being Career Mode.
In mid-January, Discord-verified players will have access to a very early version of GM Mode. Here's what this first version will look like:
1. Your Court: Unlock your own private court in Splash Athletics for $10 (one-time purchase). This comes with a brand new environment (see below) for which you can customize the name and basic colors (via Discord, to start), a new GM skin, and the features below.
2. Your Rules: Invite friends to your new private court (via Discord), which they'll have listed under 'Private' in their menu when you're on. Change your court's game mode (1v1, 2v2, 3v3) anytime (via Discord). From the ingame menu, you'll be able to mute or kick anyone from your gym, anytime.
3. Your Team: Need a few more players for a 3v3? The new GC 'Play Now' *Matchmaking system* funnels people into your private court for a game (learn more below). GMs are always King of the Court in their court, and can choose if they want a rematch, or to matchmake with new players the next game.
