Gnomoria Ep1 - Getting started and initial planning
494Gnomoria is a great SandBox game that lends heavily from Dwarf Fortress. It is currently in alpha and is being upgraded and added to every few weeks.

This series is designed for new players who haven't been exposed to games much like this. If you haven't played Dwarf Fortress then this series will ease you in to the game play and hopefully point out the important principles and objectives.
There are many ways to play games like this so don't feel you have to emulate what is done in this series.
In this first video we look at keyboard shortcuts and also plan our initial build strategy. We look at :
* starting parameters
* our Yak pasture (temporary at this stage)
* foraging for food and cotton
* taking tree clippings and then felling trees
* Green, amber, red colour coding of tasks
* locate underground chasms
* dig into the hillside and create our first storage pile
* move the starting crates, bags and barrels into the storage area.
