I approached this game having done no prior research and with zero expectations, but I didn’t need much time to come up with, I think, a suitable moniker: Monster Hunter in a post-apocalyptic setting. Of course, it’s not literally the same thing, especially when it comes to the atmosphere, it’s just, well, I am sure you can spot plenty of similarities yourselves ;) As for who we are, the story puts us in the shoes of, quite literally, a New Type of God Eater that joins the struggle against Aragami, a monstrous menace that brought ruin to human civilization.
