As you exit the lift you’ll be ambushed by all sorts of Draugr, and Atreus will rush in to fight them on his own. Watch out for the Power Draugr and detonate them with a ranged axe when you see them light up, then rush in for the kill. After translating the message, a level 6 Ogre will burst out, flanked by Nightmares, and then by some Draugr. Thankfully Atreus will listen to your commands for this fight, and you can also look for a hanging red urn above to drop on the Ogre to seriously damage it and anything else nearby. Lay one the stun damage to get on top of it and smash the Draugr to pieces, then finish the monster yourself. Return to the floor below and take the path left as it swings around the pit to where a corpse holds some Hacksilver, and a Draugr may show himself nearby As Atreus forges ahead you’ll find yourself in the room below the tall area that led to the Summit. Atreus will charge forth and wake up a sleeping Ancient you’ll be forced to deal with it. Wait for the chest to expose and toss your axe inside, and quickly follow up by throwing the bombs it expels back on it. Do this quickly, and it can be stunned twice in a row letting you finish it off quickly. Be sure to loot it for the crafting ingredients and a Rare Enchantment. After killing the Ancient, be sure to look around this large area. There’s a font of Shatter Crystals near the central pulley system - you can toss one back around the corner at a Coffin encased in sap to get Hardened Svartalfheim Steel, as well as an Enchantment. As you exit the door out onto the cliffs below the summit, you’ll spot a Realm Tear. You can try your hand at opening it - but be ready to deal with several level 6 and 7 Reavers backed up by Ice Nightmares. If they manage to freeze you, the resulting frenzy will likely get you killed. If you look along the path to the right past the red urns you can find a stone to replenish heath, rage, or give XP. Then move left to get rid of some Hel Bramble to climb back up onto the path to the Summit. As you cross the main wall to the summit, be sure to head left first to find a Coffin covered in Hel Bramble and open it to get Mythic Bracers of Clarity and Hardened Svartalfheim Steel.
Now head back to get rid of the Hel Bramble in front of the wall and climb back up to where you first met Mimir. As you inspect the gate, Atreus will trace the rune for you to interact with your chisel. Look for the four circles to pin your chisel and complete the rune. Of course, a very rude interruption will throw all your plans to hell as an old enemy returns for a second round.
As the scene unfolds, you’ll eventually be tasked with punching your nemesis as much as you can. When your attacker turns the tables, hold down block, and then dodge his heavier attacks by leaning left or right - depending on which side he’s on. After dodging these blows, counter with your own attack then get ready to dodge again. If he returns to the faster attacks, start blocking again until you get your chance to dodge and counter. After pushing him farther back, you’ll get one last shot at unloading your fists into his face before the cutscenes resume, as your path will take you to a very unexpected place.
