God of War Ragnarok The Forge Collectible Locations
The Forge contains 9 Collectible Locations in God of War Ragnarok. This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in The Forge Region in chronological order.
#1 – Odin’s Raven 00:00
To get back to The Forge after the story, fast travel to the Mystic Gateway Svartalfheim - Nidavellir Beach (automatic story unlock). From there take the little train up the hill, leading to the Forge area. After the train ride, there will be a raven flying on the right. It always flies the same path in circles. Position yourself to look towards it when it comes flying in your direction and throw your axe to hit it in midair.
#2 – Artifact (Things Left Behind – Bari’s Grenade) 00:50
From the raven, take the first exit on the right, then immediately climb the first wall on the left and drop down. The purple-glowing artifact is behind a wooden crate on the ground.
#3 – Lore (Scroll – Dear Overseer) 01:25
From the rift, squeeze through the rocks at the other end of the area. Then go right and climb the first wall on the right with white markings on it. This leads to a little dwarven hut, a lore scroll sits on the ground in front of it.
#4 – Lore (Rune Read – The Forge) 02:00
Same area as the previous Lore Scroll, at the gate on the left. Check the blue letters on the wall.
#5 – Legendary Chest (Atlas Eruption – Heavy Runic Attack) 02:36
From the lore, go through the gate and you will reach an area where a geyser puzzle took place during the story. Throw your axe at the geyser on the right-side hill to freeze it, thus lowering the elevator. Get in the elevator and recall your axe to go up. The legendary chest is behind the locked gate, if you’re here after the story you can simply climb up the left wall to get behind the gate. If it’s your first story visit you must climb the wall on the right to freeze the first geyser again and tell your companion to turn the lever to close the second geyser.
#6 – Odin’s Raven 03:36
Inside the main Forge area where you obtain the Spear weapon from the story. The raven sits on the left wall. To get back here after the story, use the same big lift you took with Brok during the story, there’s a lever in front of the lift you can press :circle: on to call the lift to you.
#7 – Yggdrasil Rift (Lindwyrm + Gale Spark) 04:10
Climb the wall where the Raven was sitting (must first detonate a spear at the wall to create a path). Follow the path until you must squeeze through a gap. Immediately after this, throw 2 spears at the walls with winding coming out of them and climb up. The Rift is found after using both spears to climb. It contains a Lyndwyrm for “The Lost Lindwyrms” Favor. You must have accepted this favor from the Squirrel at Sindri’s house, he gives you the Lindwyrm Trap, without it you won’t be able to pull the wyrm out of this rift. The favor is available after Main Mission 09: Word of Fate but you can’t access this area anyway until you got the spear from Main Mission 10 so you should already have it. After pulling out the Lindwyrm, interact with the rift a second time to make it count as completed.
#8 – Yggdrasil Rift 05:20
From the Nornir Chest, squeeze through the hole at the end of the area, where a Dreki boss fight took place during the story. The Yggdrasil Rifts become available from story progress, it isn’t there on the first visit. Kill the enemies that spawn from the rift, then interact with it once more to close it.
#9 – Nornir Chest 06:38
Same area as the Artifact. From the artifact climb back up and go straight across, to a little side area on the right that has a green heart drawn on a stone. The Nornir chest is there. To open it, throw a spear at the 3 tiny totems in this area and detonate them all at once (requires Spear from story progress). Throw spears with :l2: + :r1: and detonate them with :triangle: to destroy all 3 totems at the same time or else they will respawn. The first is to the left of the chest on the rocks. The second is left on the chest, go to the end of the cliffs and look for it 20-30 meters/yards away on a mountaintop, the third can be seen from the wall where the artifact was, close to where the raven was at the start of this area.
That’s 100% of the collectibles you can find in The Forge area in God of War Ragnarok.
