This is my fight with the Minotaur, one of the bosses in God of War (2005). During my first playthrough on the Hard difficulty, I struggled with this guy for hours. On God difficulty, I smashed him with ease just, on my third attempt, as far as I remember.
When it comes to any hints, I have just two basic ones: in my opinion it's far easier to bunker yourself on the platform upstairs; watch the way I move before performing combo attacts, there is a way to force the Minotaur to lose his balance (when he shifts his grip with the left arm, you know you are on the right track) which gives you a nice amount of time to deal even more damage.

Note 2: Sorry for the quality and the lag at the beginning of cutscenes. It is a replay of my stream and the device I use for streaming is Hauppage PVR, maybe it has some problems with cutscenes (changing resolution maybe?)
