Golden Axed: A Cancelled Prototype gameplay
3This is "Golden Axed", a remake... reboot... reimagining? ...re-something of Golden Axe made in two weeks under shitty conditions in the 2010s. It was canned due to management being monumentally stupid (again, shitty conditions, but also how does one pass up a game that's already this good after TWO WEEKS of development time?) It was released for Sega's 60th (GO?) anniversary, for just 24 hours, being available from October 18, 2020 at 1PM EDT to October 19, 2020 at 1PM EDT.
Seriously, this kicks ass. It's just one stage that lasts about 5 minutes, but it's a very exciting and intense 5 minutes. Give it a go.
Through some kind of strange... bug? I was able to play co-op with one controller. With myself, and that's shown off in the video.
Though one strange thing about this game is that is ships with nonfunctional keyboard controls, where most of the actions aren't mapped to any keys. You can remap them in the Unity launcher, or just use a gamepad.
