Golden Hour Audio is producer, multi-instrumentalist and fervent field-recordist Curtiss Anderson. An artist who strives to create work that functions both in a club-setting and for deep-listening. His approach to creating material includes sampling his own instrumental playing, recording the world around him and using visual art as a jumping-off point to create hypnotising, intricate sound-worlds rooted in loop-based music. Golden Hour Audio is a nod to his preferred time to capture field-recordings; when the sun is rising on a new day or signifying the end of another. In this short space of time the sound-world changes significantly and by using a combination of dynamic, condenser and contact microphones he is able to bring the outside into the studio and finally to the dance-floor.
