Golvellius is a blend of sidescrolling platformer killing things, overhead killing things, and top down scrolling up killing things. It's set in a typically RPGish environment with swords, snakes and old women selling questionable potions. But there doesn't seem to be much in the way of actual RPG gameplay elements. It is similar to Wonder Boy and Zelda in many ways, but in my opinion doesn't really reach that level of awesomnity.
