Good, BAD, and Ugly ID and YEC arguments
27Sal (and hopefully PaleoLogos) will discuss what they think are BAD and not-so-good ID and YEC arguments.
Sal suggests arguing over human evolution results in mostly ugly (but not always bad arguments). The Good arguments are over abiogenesis, membrane origin, eukaryotic evolution, major protein family evolution.
Sal suggests one should aim for a draw, not a win, over age of the fossil record, Earth, solar system, validity of the Big Bang, for now.
Future discoveries are predicted to continue to favor either Progressive Creationism (PC) or YEC. Whether PC or YEC is true, in the end, naturalistic abiogenesis has failed, and major parts of evolutionary theory have already failed and few are willing to conceded defeat, starting with the concept of fitness, so-called natural selection, origin of major forms of complexity, and absurd assertions like molecular co-evolution.
