Sal is a classical millenialist. His views about eschatology align closely with this book by Michael Brown and Craig Keener "Not Afraid of the Antichrist: Why We Don't Believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture"

That said, the world appears to be headed to the apocalypse and controlled by the anti-Christ, but NOT before there are signs in the heavens. Still, the way is being paved for the antiChrist as seen here, especially the video by Leo Hohmann:

But independent of the pre-trib, post-trib debate, do the scriptures indicate that the speed of light may have spatial and temporal variation?
Christian eschatologies and cosmologies are not more outrageous than modern cosmology that invokes Dark Matter, Inflation, Multiverses, etc. Hence, every idea at this time can be put on the table.
The word "EiS" in New Testament can also mean "toward" (albeit rarely, as in "he looked toward (eis) heaven").
Thus the passage in Rev 6:13, can possibly be read as:
"and the stars of the sky fell toward the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale."
The stars appear to be moving AWAY from us due to the red shift, but if the light blue shifts or does soemthing else, this means the stars could be moving toward us. If this were to happen, as per rev 6:13, this would mean a shakeup of the physics and the cosmos. Rev chapter 6 suggests the world will recognize this as a sign from the Christian God and people will ask the mountains fall on us to save of from the wrath of Jesus Christ whose eyes are like a flame of fire.
This is, strictly speaking, a testable hypothesis, and if the event transpires, it suggests that there is spatio-temporal variation in the speed of light, and would ironically solve the distant starlight problem.
There are other solutions to this suggested by P. W. Dennis who is a recognized a professor of physics is University of Missouri, a NASA researcher in General Relativity and also a YEC. His views would also connect YEC to Rev 6:13, although my conversation with him at a 2018 Q&A was only in passing on this topic.
Sal suggests a return to Aether viewpoint based on Quantum Mechanics, and even Sabine Hossenfelder points out possible flaws in General relativity as it conflicts with Quantum Mechanics.
