System Shock was the first game that I covered on this channel, and on top of it being massively influential to sci-fi, horror and immersive sim games, that makes it a pretty big deal. When I heard that Nightdive Studios was making System Shock Remastered/System Shock Remake, I was a little concerned that it would lose some of it's charm.
And it has.
But it's not a bad thing! The game could certainly stand on its own and is more in line with the current image of the System Shock series than the original is. So join me as I wave goodbye to the old, and say hello to the... new old.
