The old AMD software was called Crimson. Totally different layout from Adrenaline which added options and abilities for things like game capture, screen captures, with more settings and a different interface to it, etc.. then there are just normal updates to Adrenaline now until whatever the next major software would be. Having a good gpu can also be helpful for video editing.
I had a old pc with a old gpu in it that was a tiny gpu compared to these giant things we have today anyway that tiny one made the screen resolution have the option of being full HD 1920x1080 instead of just 1280x720.
