Here is a simple First Loop Clear done on 1 Life, on Konami's very well known horizontal shmup, Gradius/グラディウス.
I never really played Gradius (or Nemesis, the international title) when it was in the arcades, I would play Darius instead.

The game's system in Gradius has been the same throughout the whole series, with a Power Up Meter at the bottom of the screen, with every power-up item moving the highlighted selection right one position. There are a lot of sequels that are rather similar, with Gradius 3 being the hardest in the series.

There isn't much to scoring in Gradius apart from shooting everything, and milking certain bosses as much as possible, or trying to get as far as possible. The game loops endlessly, however after the first loop, it is very difficult to recover when losing a life.
The NES version of Gradius is very easy to multi-loop.
