Gran Turismo 2: Mod Showcase #6 | Includes some gameplay
165Welcome to my 6th GT2 Mod Showcase video, where I decided to do something a bit different. The last showcase videos were mostly me showing the cars altered on menus. Now, I decided to show the cars in action a bit. This will showcase mods created by people I know on a discord server, it's called the "Search for Hidden Things". It's based on a thread on GTPlanet.net.
Anyway, people on this discord server have been sharing their mods on there and I usually like giving them a try. Show, I decided to show some of those mods. The video also includes new mods that I have worked on too. For context, I have listed who made each mod in the video itself. I hope you guys enjoy what is shown.

Q&A:
Q: "How do you texture mod? Is there a guide?"
A: Texture modding requires a few specific tools that I can't share right here. However, you can find them on a Discord server I frequent. You just have to ask for a link.
Q: "Is it possible to import cars and tracks from other games?"
A: Unfortunately no, noone has figured out how to make that happen yet. The only way we can add new content to GT2 is by making it ourselves messing with the different builds of GT2 to do so. Such as editing existing models in GT2 via texture editing.
With that said, you can even do some model editing to GT2's car models. Which is included in the guide from the above link.
Q: "Can you do paint schemes such as "x"?"
A: Yes, as long as it's within the color limit (16) for a texture, then it can be done. It has to be on an existing model in GT2 though.
