So, another custom race with Pez2k's GT2 Plus mod. I have enjoyed this mod quite a bit myself. It brings some new life to my favorite Gran Turismo game and feels at times like a new experience. Anyway, gameshark codes seem to still work with it luckily. So, I can do custom races with it like I've done on the Vanilla GT2. Here's a red Dodge Viper GTS going against cars in the Grand Touring Car Trophy on Laguna Seca Raceway.

As said before, this is a mod for the PAL version of Gran Turismo 2, called "Gran Turismo 2" plus; which changes various things in the game including new cars added.
Here's a quick link to a thread on GTPlanet about the mod itself.

Q&A Section:
Q: How can I get this mod?
A: There's a patch located in the thread I left a link for above. You just need to patch it on a European GT2 iso and it should work.

Q: How do you apply the patch?
A: First, download xDelta (software that can patch files to ps1 isos). Second, just select the patch you downloaded in one section and pick the GT2 Europe iso to patch. Finally, pick a location to save it at and give it a name. Now, you have a new modded game to play with. Have fun! :)

Q: Will the creator be able to apply scrapped cars like the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR?
A: He can add cars that were hidden in the playable demos in the future, but cars like the CLK-GTR are impossible since that was featured on a build of GT2 that wasn't released to the public. Even then, it's possible that the car could never be added in the first place due to the file type possibly being different from the final GT2's.

Q: What about content from GT1 like Special Stage Route 11?
A: Once again, GT1's file types are different from GT2's to where porting content from there is impossible. So, no SSR11.

Q: Can new car and track models be added at all?
A: Yes, but only if they're from another build of GT2 like one of the regional versions or one of the playable demos. MMRivit (another GT2 modder) has ported tracks from the demos into the final game for instance, and he taught me how to do the same thing. Car models can be added this way as I added cars like the 1996 Viper GTS and beta Shelby Cobra Daytona from the demos. However, adding new cars and tracks from other games like NFS:II or Test Drive 6 is at the moment impossible.

Q: Can this work on things outside of PC emulators?
A: The only other thing I've seen this mod playable on is the android edition ePSXe emulator from another GT2 player. However for PSP & PSVita, I've heard this mod caused crashes on those. Youtube user xan1242 reported to me this mod crashing on the SCPH-7502 model PS1 + PSIO. If it isn't working on that PS1, it probably won't work on other models either. PS1 classics are their own thing, so there's hope for this patch working on there, but I can't make any promises.
EDIT: A youtube user Robert Hoskins tried this mod on his PS1 classic and reported no problems.

Q: Can cheat codes work on the mod?
A: Yes, at least some can. I know because I've tried a couple myself, I was able to use the change track cheat for simulation mode.

Q: Can this patch work with the US version?
A: No, it has to be the PAL version in order for the mod to work.

Q: Is there a NTSC version of this mod or Japanese version?
A: Not at the moment, but Pez2k has said that he'll work on those eventually.

Q: Why the PAL version?
A: Because the PAL version is the most complete version of GT2 with the most content, plus it has a language selector.
