What I think are the best cars to start with in Gran Turismo 3. The list is a bit smaller due to how few cars there are under the 18,000cr budget. I think at most, you can pick only 13-14 cars. I think GT1 even had more cars to choose from at the start. With that said, it was still fun trying to pick out which ones were effective. For a while, originally though that only the Miata and AE86 Trueno were the go to cars, but other users have pointed out cars they liked using. I opened my mind a bit and gave those cars a try, which lead to this list.

As per usual, I'm not including gold prize license cars due to how difficult they can be for most players. Not every GT player is that hardcore, including myself. I never gotten all golds on any license, ever. Though, I never had the patience to keep trying in all fairness. Plus, I've used cheats in GT3 before to start with the license test prize cars and I honestly got bored after a few races. I find the challenge of picking a car with the budget given more fun.

Note: A couple of honorable mentions: The Mazda Demio GL-X and Daihatsu Storia X4. The Demio GL-X is cheaper than either Miata, but can get some pickup with a couple of upgrades. Though, it would struggle against the Hondas in Sunday Cup stock. A similar case for the Daihatsu Storia X4, it can be quick with upgrades and it's cheap. The only problem is you may need to use more upgrades for it than the typical car.

Songs Used:
Isamu Ohira - An Endless Journey (GT3 Version)
Isamu Ohira - Light Velocity (GT3 Album Version)
