Mixed feelings. I do love how it brings back the top down. I was never good driving in them, but the top down cops v robbers games were a lot of fun for decades. It's simple enough to control and a little TOO forgiving at times to make up for its more frustrating elements. Good graphics for the GBA and, again, this kind of game makes me wonder what would have been possible on the SNES if it was pushed in that direction.
But...it's also just as jank as its console brothers at times. It's battles are a bit of a mess, but I'm used to that. The cops are thankfully dumb as rocks because wow. Dead bodies at my feet...cop does nothing. Drive into a paint shop and the cop forgets I existed. OK. The music is a real letdown, though. I'm personally happy because it means there's only a smaller chance I the video gets a copyright claim, but GTA is sort of known for its soundtracks. Just...nothing? I know, space limitations, but still.
It's seems pretty worth it, though. If you need GTA on the go and you miss the top downs, it works just fine.
