Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - Mission #64 - Interdiction
2Sorry about another month and a half absence from the walkthrough. Work is a small factor but the much bigger factor being the fact that I'm still working on my biggest project ever & is taking a lot longer than I thought to finish. Still got a long ways to go which sucks considering I first began gathering up the footage for the project all the way back on April 2nd. That part's done, just gotta edit everything. This has caused my activity on the channel to drop dramatically though having only posted 2 videos within the last month so I'm gonna try to make it up by getting back to the San Andreas walkthrough for a while before I turn my attention back to the project.
For our next Toreno mission, he wants you to collect an important package. When the cutscene ends, take the dune buggy just outside & head to the little abandoned village in Las Brujas where Toreno will tell you what to do next via a speaker that just conveniently happens to be there which he must've hacked into somehow, he is a government agent after all. He tells you to take the rocket launcher & one of the two vehicles provided, either the dirtbike or the bandito (a different kind of dune buggy) and make your way up to the top of the nearby mountain and set off a flare to get the helicopter pilot's attention, the one that's carrying your package. Once he gets there, 2 other choppers will swoop in & try intercepting it. Use your rocket launcher to shoot them down & protect the chopper with your contraband, you have 40 rockets so you've got plenty of ammo. Plus there’s more ammo nearby should you end up needing it & a health pickup. A life bar comes into play during this part of the mission for the chopper with your contraband & if it empties, it'll fall from the sky & explode and you'll fail the mission.
The intercepting choppers feature guys on the ledges with AK-47's who will try to shoot your chopper down. A total of 3 more choppers will come in as you take down the enemy choppers one-by-one making 5 total. Make sure that when you do shoot down an enemy chopper that it isn't within close proximity of the contraband chopper so it doesn't take damage from the enemy chopper's explosion from your rocket launcher. Once all 5 choppers have been destroyed, the contraband chopper will fly over to the abandoned airstrip & release the cargo with a parachute attached so it can float safely to the ground. Once it does reach the ground it will have landed by a shed with a pier leading into the nearby ocean just north from the airstrip, head over to retrieve it. You more than likely obtained a wanted level from shooting those choppers down but the cops were nice enough this time to mind their own damn business until after that whole ordeal was over so you'll have to deal with them now. Once you get the package just take it to the hideout back in the abandoned village in Las Brujas & your finally done, another $1,000 to your bank which is very annoying actually for how long this mission was.
