Sorry about another 2 and a half week absence, work combined with still trying to finish up my big project (which isn't going well) are the main factors. Was hoping to get another GTA SA mission video up a couple days ago but the capture card keeps lagging when I try recording PS3 stuff which then shows in the video which I'm sure no one wants so I'll try out some different settings on the capture card and see if I can get rid of the lag so I can get that up soon also since it's actually a really cool mission. Thinking of another alternative video to get up in the mean time, I finally decided it's time to return to my 2P speed comp series for the restrictor plate tracks for NASCAR games. Here's the first of 5 total for NASCAR 05, three for Daytona in all 3 main series and two for Talladega in the NEXTEL Cup & Busch Series since there's no Craftsman Truck Series races there apparently. Starting with the lowest series for Daytona first. Actually didn't have to make any changes from my original setup from like 9-10 months ago to get it this fast. Does push up into the wall if you enter the turn wrong & don't slow down but it wasn't much of an issue here, handling wise it's so smooth on here, I love that. Top speed wise 225 MPH at Daytona is crazy enough but in a truck? That's faster than with the Winston Cup cars on NASCAR Thunder 2004 which was what the NEXTEL Cup was the year before and almost as fast as the Winston Cup cars on Thunder 03. Got a best lap of a 41.53 which averages 216.71 MPH which is also very close to what I ran on Thunder 03 (40.902) as well as way faster than what I achieved on Thunder 04 (42.832). Guess it's no surprise since the trucks are just naturally faster than the Winston Cup cars on Thunder 04 which is strange considering I can run 47.8s with a truck on here but only 48.0s with a Winston Cup car on Thunder 04 as well as strangely faster than the Busch Series cars on here even, oh well. Next up is the Busch series run here at Daytona which I've already got ready so stay tuned.
