Here is over twenty minutes of gameplay from the newest Grand Theft Auto V next-generation update. I am playing it with Performance RT mode enabled. It features next-generation Raytracing lighting, and a silky smooth 60 frames per second frame rate. I do have to say that the PS5 DualSense controller feels uniquely amazing with this update. You can feel the different kinds of resistance on the triggers while controlling different vehicles. You can feel the vibrations, resistance and clickiness of different types of gun triggers. You can feel haptic feedback of rain drops touching your character. DualSense is awesome!!

There's a few things to note. The experience wasn't all that straight forward though. I paid a little more than $14 dollars Canadian for the update. I heard that the Ray Tracing update was not coming to the PC (for now) which is why I decided to buy the PS5 upgrade. Also, I wasn't able to automatically continue where I left off from my Playstation 4 game save. I had to manually upload the game save and that took a few more annoying steps. If you don't want to transfer your PS4 save progress or don't have access to it, you will just start off from scratch at the very beginning of the game and have to start over.
- First off I had to go and boot up my old PS4 Pro which luckily had the game already installed. If you don't have it installed, then you have to download the game in it's entirety again which can be over 80GB. It is around 86 GB on the PS5. Now since I had the game already installed on the PS4 Pro, I only had to download the recent patch update which was around 3.7 GB.
- Secondly, I had to launch the PS4 version of the game on the PS4 Pro, and the while in-game, login to the Rockstar Games Social Club in order to upload my save file which could then be downloaded and used on the PS5.
- Thirdly, I had to switch back over to the PS5 console and again, had to login to the Rockstar Social Club to download the save file which had all of my progress.

All of this was a pain in the butt. I have my PS4 Pro set up in a separate room and TV than my PS5 so that I can use remote play on the PS4 Pro to control and use my PS5 so I was repeatedly going back and forth. Another negative that I noticed was that the controls became messed up while using Remote Play on GTA5. Button sets were swapped. Now the L2 and R2 triggers were now incorrectly mapped to the sticks L4 and R4. Then the L1 and R1 buttons were incorrectly mapped to the triggers L2 and R2. Finally the sticks L4 and R4 were incorrectly mapped to L1 and R1. I ended up not using Remote Play and just went back to the other room and used the PS5 as normal. Hopefully this was just an oversight, and it will hopefully get patched in the future.
