Having lost the WRC license, and having since made the rally stages in Valentino Rossi - The Game and the Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO game, Milestone decided to go back more to the Screamer 2/Screamer Rally route, with this highly playable arcade rally/offroad racing game.
Set, much like the DiRT series, around a fictional worldwide offroad racing series, the game encompasses rally, rallycross (with a huge selection of official tracks), rally raid and all sorts of edge-case offroad vehicles (like military and buggies, both as DLC).
The game is hugely playable, I was enjoying swinging my 900 degree wheel around the corners, despite it not being a sim at all! It's sort-of like Asphalt Xtreme without any of the micro-transaction rubbish!
There's a wide variety of locations in the game. The sound is decent, but the graphics (despite being powered by Unreal) could be a bit better though, looking a bit simple in places (although the lighting is lovely).
If you're in the market for a fun, arcade rally game, give this one a go, it's a lot of fun!
